These
furnaces are available for various types of applications including
heat treatment of steel forgings, such as normalising hardening
ISO Thermal annealing and tempering etc. Highlights of some
of the types of continuous furnaces are:-
A. PUSHER TYPE
FURNACES These furnaces are capable of operating
at temperature upto 1000 Deg.C. The items to be heat treated
are charged into the furnaces on trays and the loaded trays
are pushed into the furnace one by one. After heating and soaking,
the material comes out of the furnace and removed from the platform.
These furnaces are suitable for normalising, stress relieving
and other heating process of various types of components. The
oil consumption is 60-65 ltrs/tonne when steel forgings are
normalised or hardened.
B. BATCH TYPE
HEAT TREATMENT PLANT:
Operated with the help of charging
machine complete with automatic quenching system. The plant
is operated by one person only. The oil consumption figures
are 40 ltrs/tonne on hardening/normalising and 30-35 ltrs/tonne
on tempering.
C. ROLLER HEARTH
FURNACES:
These furnaces are designed
for continuous operation for heating of various types of furnaces
and are capable of operating at a temperature upto 1000 Deg.C.
The furnaces can be oil fired, gas fired or electrically heated.
D. MESH CONVEYOR
FURNACES:
These furnaces are for continuous
heating of components. The material is fed on the mesh conveyor.
The mesh conveyor furnaces are mostly electrically heated and
capable of operating upto 1000 Deg.C. temperature. |
